Rebecca Avila DeMarco was an exceptionally gifted woman with a boundlessly creative mind, using her talents to find solace, joy, and escape from the mundane aspects of life. Being self-taught, she fearlessly explored and excelled in various artistic mediums, embracing every art form imaginable. Her relentless pursuit of self-improvement and unwavering dedication to her craft have made her a remarkable force in the artistic realm, leaving a lasting impact on those who encounter her work. Rebecca's free spirit dictates this scholarship will be open to all US Citizens who identify as an artist (of any medium), regardless of student status. The 2023 themed competition of "Family Fun" will run from November 23, 2023 - December 23, 2023, with a monetary award of $250 USD.

Through the recommendations of my hardworking peers, teachers, and counselor I was fortunate enough to find this scholarship and this website. To help fund my college education, I've been searching for many more scholarships to apply to and I am grateful for this scholarship to be one of the first I applied for and won! It's a wonderful surprise and I'm incredibly grateful that my entry was well-recieved. The reward is a great help for me and my family to keep saving towards my college education and let me focus more on my studies rather than the cost. I hope to continue on sharing this excited and inspired feeling through the artwork and stories I want to share going forward. It's always been my dream to connect with others and incite and emotional response from the creative work that I make, and this scholarship will definetly help me be one step closer to that goal.
